Visit the Garden Railway to see miniature trains disappearing into tunnels, chugging over bridges and exploring the 138m (455ft) of track. There is a scavenger hunt (with a sweet treat reward) and the chance to play with trains. A great day for big kids and small!
A few times a year, we open the garden gate and invite visitors in to see the trains running in our miniature world.
These events are the highlight of the year with all proceeds going to supporting local Jersey charities across the island.
The Open Days began in 2022 as a way of supporting good causes and sharing some of the joy of a garden railway with other islanders. Over the years, the events have grown as hundreds of islanders enjoy the trains chugging through the plants and shrubs delivering their passengers to destinations all over the garden.

Get up close to the trains as they’re on their journey around the garden. Features of the railway – such as the bridges, tunnels and foot crossing – are popular with kids (be they young or old!)

For our eagled-eyed guests who like a challenge, we offer a the scavenger hunt to find the different scenes and details across the layout. As a reward for those completing it, a sweet treat awaits.

The cafe serves a selection of hot and cold drinks as well as a a delicious mix of cakes.

During the day we run a variety of locomotives and rolling stock – both passenger and freight. Alongside the model of real-world trains – Thomas and his friends can be found being really useful engines.
Check our schedule below for the next open day, grab your friends and family ones, and come on over for a day of fun and adventure. We can’t wait to see you!

G Scale Society Visits

We’re proud members of the G Scale Society, a UK-based but global community for those running large scale model trains both inside and in the garden. We’re always excited to meet with fellow members.
If you’re a member of the G Scale Society (and if you’re not, you should check it out) and are visiting Jersey, get in touch with us through our website or on the G Scale Society Facebook Group and we’d love to invite you round for a coffee (or something slightly stronger)
