SUMMARY:Garden Railway Open Day - June 2024
DESCRIPTION:This event has finished\, however\, we have two more Open Days planned this summer on 27th July and 17th August.\nWelcome HSBA Garden Railway’s first Summer Open Day of 2024.\nSponsored by ATF Fuels (ATF.je) \nThe HSBA Garden Railway is a G Scale garden layout based in Jersey\, Channel Islands. Over 138m (455ft) of track navigate through tunnels\, over bridges and past the pond in a garden in the parish of St. Mary. \nJump to purchase tickets \nCome join us to watch miniature trains (4% of the size of the real things!) with train sounds running around our festive garden! Explore the tunnels\, bridges and stations\, and say hi to our cute Koi fish. Kids can partake in a scavenger hunt\, with a sweet treat for a prize once they are done. \nOn the Day\nWhat to expect \nOur volunteers will be running multiple trains throughout the day – like the real thing\, some will be waiting in stations for others to pass. Our locos feature lights\, sound and smoke to add to the atmosphere! They disappear off over bridges and through the tunnels. Our visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like and enjoy the layout as much as we do. Alongside this\, there will be: \n\nGuest appearances from Thomas and some of his friends!\nAt the entrance will be a small layout for the kids (big and small!) to play with.\nA scavenger hunt scouring the details of the layout with a sweat treat for those completing.\nA cafe with snacks and refreshments.\nSeating to take a rest and watch the trains (and the kids) go round.\nWe have volunteers operating the layout. If you have any questions\, just ask someone in a maroon t-shirt and we’ll be happy to chat.\n\nDrinks & Refreshments \nYou can grab teas\, coffees\, cakes and snacks at our Railway Cafe to enjoy while you watch the trains go around. \nPurpose \nFor every open day\, we choose a new charity on the island to support. All proceeds from this event (entry fee and anything bought in our Railway Cafe) will be donated to our chosen charity : Finni’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. \nSponsored by ATF Fuels\n \nA huge thank you to the wonderful team at ATF Fuels for sponsoring this Open Day with a generous donation to the Finni’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. \nTickets Information\nYou can purchase tickets using the form below. \nThe day runs on one-hour ‘slots’. The aim of these slots is to ensure a smooth flow of visitors throughout the day. As the railway is built in a private garden we have limited space and are keen to ensure everyone can see and enjoy the garden. \nThere are a set number of adult tickets per slot. Child tickets are valid for any slot. \nCancellations & Refunds\nWe understand that life can get in the way\, so if you need to cancel your ticket for any reason\, we’re happy to cancel your ticket and provide refunds if you let us know more than 48 hours before the start of the event. All proceeds from the event go to our charity of choice for the day so your contribution goes to a local good cause. \n\n\n\n\n  \nOrder your Tickets\nTickets for our June Open Day are almost sold out.
